CARE AND PREPARATION
FOR PROCEDURES
Adrenal gland biopsy

Bring complete medical history and previous studies related to the adrenal gland biopsy.

Bring blood count results and coagulation tests less than 15 days after being performed.

Fasting for 6 hours, in case the procedure is in the afternoon hours you can ingest aromatic or panela water with cookies 6 hours before the procedure.

If you have anticoagulant medications such as warfarin, Rivaroxaban, Apixaban, these must be suspended 5 days before the procedure

If you have thromboprophylactic drugs as treatment such as: ASA, low molecular weight heparin, these must be suspended 24 hours before the procedure.

You must attend in comfortable, easy-to-remove clothing.

You must attend the exam with a companion who is mof legal age, who has time availability and is receptive to receiving information and recommendations.

You must attend with a mask, if you or your companion have respiratory symptoms please do not come to the appointment.

Arrive 20 minutes before the appointment.
